Kim Delaney is an American actor who is most well-known for playing Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she won the Emmy Award. Delaney has four older brothers. As a child, she dreamt of being an official in the courtroom. But after she graduated from high school, and moving in New York in the 1980s, she began modeling.
